A couple of years ago when I was living in South America I faced quiet a dilemma in regards to birth control. I was dating this lovely 21 year old Colombian university student. One night that we had a date scheduled she told me she was feeling sick; so I hopped in a little taxi that drove recklessly through the streets of Medellin to bring her chocolate. In a moment that brought me back to high school, we were cuddling on her bed pretending to watch a movie while trysting and listening warily for her madre's footsteps coming down the hallway to make sure she was being a good catholic girl! She nonchalantly mentioned to me that she was feeling sick because she had just started taking the pill. Now this Colombiana will remain forever young and nubile in my imagination. She was eager to please and would purrrrr like a cat in bed. It was truly glorious making love to her. The prospect of her most intimate embrace without protection was truly tantalizing, but as a Biohacker I knew that the pill was bad news for women's health. So I found myself in quiet a predicament, but I really did care for her and she was a pretty sharp girl, who at least pretended to share my passion for all things healthy. So I resolved to talk to her about my reservations about the pill and my willingness to keep using condoms. Ultimately, I failed to provide her the emotional rollercoaster that the intoxicating women of that country so crave, we stopped seeing each other and the dilemma resolved itself. However; if I had known about herbal birth control and Vitamin B17 I would have had a viable contraceptive option that satisfied both my bioethics and my most primal desires.
All the other self help gurus in your inbox are talking about 2017. I'll suggest that today at least, you think more about 2021...
Create a 5 Year Self Determination Flowchart It's well said that we often over estimate what we can achieve in a year and underestimate what we can achieve in 5 years. In 1 year it's likely you'll be pretty similar to what you are right now. It's also kind of hard to say what your life will be like in 10 years, some people's lives radically change for the better or worse in 10 years. However, in half that time your life will likely still have significant resemblance to what it is now. I would like you to make optimistic predictions about what your life could look like in 5 years in these areas... Business or Career Education and Learning Family and Friends Finances Health and Fitness Hobbies Relationships & Sex Things Travel & Adventure Where will you live? What would an average day or week look like? I want you to strike a balance between your wildest fantasies and a reasonable prediction of how you will be living if you practice your best habits with discipline. Look at your Coach.me dashboard and imagine those habits multiplied by 1800 (5 years).
So some people might hear Taoism and say: Isn't that like a religion? Isn't this a branch of Eastern Spirituality? Yeah, it's kind of a religion, but it's like religion light. There's no 10 commandments There's no heaven There's no hell Mostly it's a lifestyle system with the goal of living a long, vibrant life with some spiritual under tones.
One of the things that becomes pretty obvious early on in this book is that Taoism is basically like The Force from Star Wars - minus the lightsabers (unfortunately) and the celibacy (fortunately!)
Taoist masters over a very long period of time developed a breathing technique that's very effective, proven and a little counter intuitive so I think it's appropriate to say that this is how a Jedi would breath.
In principle, breathing is a science, but in practice it is an art. (3119-3120)
In a troubling press release the DEA announced it's intent to make Kratom a Schedule 1 illegal drug, the same class as heroin and cocaine. For those of you who don't know Kratom is a none-Nootropic performance enhancer, I don't use it a lot myself but a lot of people find it tremendously helpful.
As much as I'd like to go all Alex Jones about how the government wants us to all be sick and is shutting down competition to the opioid based pharmaceutical drugs, I think there's probably a whole lot less diabolical explanation. Kratom was never demonstrated in human studies as being beneficial.
I think this decision shows that the government bureaucrats don't consider public sentiment or ancedotal evidence of the benefits of a given substance, which is kind of what you would expect. They wouldn't be treating Kratom like Cocaine if watching my videos about Kratom or reading any of the thousands of user reports posted in various forums online had any barring on their decision. If all you did was read the abstracts of the Kratom studies on Pubmed and the Poison Control Centers reports you too would end up thinking that it was a public safety hazard.
"Networking" now that's a word with a not stellar connotation. The word brings to mind... These meetups in bars that we've all attended which are seemingly awkward by design. Those annoying people that send you unsolicited messages on LinkedIN asking to get coffee with you to talk about some opportunity. That guy you barely know who calls you up out of the blue to invite you to attend some MLM recruitment pow wow. I don't blame you for being not interested in networking, but it really is one of the secrets to success and happiness. Networking effectively really does ROI in the form of... Peak life experiences Getting invited to awesome parties It's the inside track to great job and business opportunities Along with finding true love and companionship It's worth figuring out.
When I was a younger man I spent a lot of time sipping $7 drinks at networking meetups in Denver, Colorado exchanging business cards with accountants, nightclub promoters, fashion designers, interns, MLMers, models, journalists, attorneys, mortgage brokers and thousands of realtors! Over time it actually did help me build a high utility social circle, but it certainly wasn't the most effective way of doing it.
I'd like to present the Secret Society Infiltration Model to networking...
You guys know I lived in the motherland of truly great coffee for 2 years; Medellin, Colombia, where I had a passionate love affair with the anti-oxidizing dark nectar. I frequently hung out at some of the best cafes in the world there, which served straight black coffee that was as smooth as wine going down, I was got quiet hooked on the stuff.
Then I moved to Europe, where I proceeded to have short term relationships with various cities and countries.
It would be an understatement to say that I found it a challenge to find coffee in Europe that measures up to the standards that Medellin set so high. Sometimes I'd find a good cafe but in a short matter of time, I'd move on to a new town and my search would begin a new. My search for great coffee was confounded by Europeans delusional optimism about their coffee; they are quick to call Starbucks out for the garbage brand it is but woefully unawares that most of the coffee served here is no better. Every trendy young European I met was quick to assure me that I could find truly great coffee in their city, yet they need to dilute and load it up with milk, cream to make it barely palatable.
Now my snobbishness is not just because I can't stomach sub par coffee. As I've become more mindful of how what I consume effects my mood, focus and productivity, I've become more aware of the negative effect that bad coffee has on my day.
I begrudgingly reached the decision that I needed to go off coffee or at least cut back sharply on the stuff - make it a once a week type treat instead of a daily habit. Which turned out to be pretty rough; Caffeine is the second most addictive Nootropic I've become acquainted with. I would quit for a few days and then have some and be disappointed.
However, eventually I discovered an energizing morning cocktail that replaced and effectively assuaged my coffee withdrawals.
I see a trend of polarization and demonisation of those who aim to compete aggressively. Our who is John Gault society, steadily marching towards the world foretold in Idiocracy and 1984, seems increasingly keen on inventing witches to hunt. As I've written about before, I foresee a public backlash against Biohackers. Biohacking is antidisestablishmentarianism starting on a biological level. It's naive to think that our movement which empowers the individual by hacking happiness and productivity doesn't present a threat to the powers that be. If you share my paranoia on this issue I really encourage you to start paying for your smart drugs with Bitcoin.
A lot of people of people who are into smart drugs and Biohacking are Internet Gangsters who are also into using the block-chain based digital currency Bitcoin. It's a pretty natural overlap that people who are kind of hacking the financial system and choosing personal sovereignty by using Bitcoin are also interested in high leverage control of their own biology.
First of all there's several smart drugs you can just pay for directly with Bitcoin...
Introduction: You guys know I'm a reluctant yet persistent cheerleader of Modafinil. Reluctant because it doesn't work for everyone, it can have unpleasant side effects, but for those it does work for, it's really ROI's and the side effects are pretty benign. Modafinil is a relatively more expensive smart drug but it's popularity is undeniable and it's because it really ROI's for about two thirds of the people who try - I think of a friend of mine, a pretty successful entrepreneur, that none nonchalantly over a few beers in Medellín, Colombia mentioned that he makes at least an extra $100K a year because of his Modafinil habit. Not many people have told me similar things about other types smart drugs and Nootropics. Checkout this article by ModafinilBuyOnline.com about how different professions can use Modafinil. Luckily they sell Modafinil from <$1 per pill so you don't need to as successful as my friend to afford it! - JR
With its ability to boost energy, alertness and confidence, smart drug modafinil can help people from all walks of life and in all different types of careers to improve their performance at work.
Here are 27 professionals who all use modafinil to increase their career success.
In the final week of the Caballo crowdfunding campaign we received some quiet shocking news, IndieGoGo killed the Caballo crowdfunding campaign as it was nearing it's funding goal without warning or explanation.
I'll be honest, I was enraged for about 30 minutes, but I meditated, talked it over with a few friends and confidants (which are good to have!) and ultimately I really think it's for the best. Here's why...
The crowdfunding platform almost totally failed to bring new members into our Biohacker community. Almost all of the customers who backed the campaign were from my email newsletter, website, Youtube channel or people who know me personally from the offline world (yes, it's out there...)
IndieGoGo takes a lot of time to disburse funds. I don't get your money until up too TWO weeks after the campaign ends. This delays your dollar's transformation into blood brain barrier crossing cognitive enhancers.
IndieGoGo's split+processing fees ads up to about 5% (that percentage will be important later in this email. Keep watching)
I'll explain shortly my plan to get Caballo to everyone who wants to try it.
Update: Caballo has been censored by IndieGoGo. I explain why here. Please join the Caballo email newsletter for an announcement coming soon about how we will get Caballo to everyone who wants to try it.
The Smart Drug Formula Derived from +600 Scientific Studies is avaliable for purchase on IndieGoGo.
Caballo consists of a Red Pill and a Black Pill...
The Red Pill
A combination of six of the highest potency Nootropics for a profoundly enhancing cognitive experience.
A Racetam rich stack, the most proven category of Smart Drugs, for enhanced mathmatics and technical problem solving fluid intelligence.
Includes the Discipline Molecule, Oxiracetam, which enhances self control and imperviousness to distraction for 4-6 hours. Which I'll talk more about in a little while...
Includes the most bioavailable ACh source, which supports neuroplasticity and high leverage skill set acquisition.
Verified by 3rd party lab certificates of analysis (COAs).
The Black Pill
Pharmaceutical grade Piracetam, the safest and most universally proven cognitive enhancer. Piracetam is the Verbal Intelligence Molecule in Caballo but it's also...
A more tranquilizing alternative to Ritalin and Adderall.
Reliably delivers energy, motivation and clear head.
A none addictive alternative to caffeine and coffee.
What is Cognitive Capital?
Professor Jerry Muller, author of The Mind and the Market, articulated it best:“…a period of growing equality of access to education and increasing stratification of marketplace rewards, both of which have increased the importance of human capital. One element of human capital is cognitive ability: quickness of mind, the ability to infer and apply patterns drawn from experience, and the ability to deal with mental complexity. Another is character and social skills: self-discipline, persistence, responsibility. And a third is actual knowledge. All of these are becoming increasingly crucial for success in the post-industrial marketplace.” (March 2013, Foreign Affairs)
I'd like to announce something educational, fun (and free!) that you will definitely want to add to your calendar.
On a Saturday afternoon in May there will be a Limitless Mindset Offline Biohacker Meetup in city (hopefully) near you. You can find the date, time and venue of the meetup near you here. We are working with the most popular Biohacker forum online, Longecity.org to host Biohacker meetups in 25 cities world wide:
This is your invitation to meet those in your city who are into this exciting intersection of personal development via science and technology. It's also an opportunity to satisfy (and perhaps satiate) your curiosity about anti aging, along with hopefully getting some questions you may have answered about optimizing your biology for happiness and productivity.
At the meetup you are obviously free to discuss whatever you want but to ensure a productive and educational meetup the suggested discussion themes are...

I have to admit something to you, yesterday I ate a package of cookies, it was my day off, I was just relaxing and I thought, you know I deserve a cheat day, why not? They were good going down, but then something strange happened. In the next hour or two after eating the cookies I was struck by how unhappy I became. Even though I was sitting on my comfortable couch in my comfortable apartment, in the center of a fun city. Even though, I'd had a kickass week doing the work that I love. Even though I was just a few clicks away from a massive digital library of television and movies along with books I've bought on subjects that interest me or social networks full of people who would be eager to meet me. Even though, I had a smart phone in my hand full contacts of people who I like spend time with, I just could not find even a modicum of relaxed satisfaction between my neurotic clicking, swiping and browser tab juggling. In recent memory, it really was one of the most unhappy states I've found myself in.
This brings me to an important point, food has a subtle yet profound effect on our mood. Checkout this article, by Ben of BrainProTips.com- Jonathan Roseland
There's no doubt that diet is one of the most important modifiable risk factors for dementia. In addition to having a neuroprotective effects, regular consumption of certain foods confers a clear cognitive edge (Cha-ching! -JR). I always enjoy getting a new computer with excess RAM, no lag, and no bloatware. To make a bad analogy: these brain foods will upgrade your brain so that it’s just as snappy as a new computer.
Just like sleep flushes the brain of toxins, some foods seem to reverse brain aging. Colorful foods, like blueberries, are particularly antioxidant rich.
A Surprising Connection Between Food Color and Nootropic Effects
There’s an interesting connection between how colorful a food is and its antioxidant and nootropic effects. Many colorful compounds (beta carotene, for example) are conjugated systems, with alternating single and double bonds. Note the alternating double and single bonds in the structure of beta-carotene, shown below.
What are you going to be doing at the public event? Well, I've got a few things for you to try.
The Elbow Tap You won't always have the opportunity to approach someone from the front, practice approaching people from the side (or even back) by tapping their lower elbow, it's a none intrusive way to get someone's attention that works quiet well actually.
Find a Social Foundation Since you are likely solo at this event, you'll find yourself alone from time to time. You want to establish a foundational person or group that's very receptive to you that you can return to. This is maybe someone you know from elsewhere, a friendly group of guys, or the event host themselves.
Number Closing Anyone who you talk to for more than 10 minutes, get their number, Facebook or contact details. Even if you don't intend to follow up with this person get their number arbitrarily. Just get in the habit of asking, you'll be surprised how many say yes.
A Limitless Mindset is not just about the scientific persuit of optimized neurotransmitters or a herculean athletic practice of mental gymnastics. It's also about living a kickass, fun lifestyle and getting more of what you want sooner.
These articles were once a $47 multimedia ebook (which you can download for free now). A specific diet of brain power rich foods is a corner stone of a Limitless mind. It's really impossible to become truly limitless without practicing a purposeful diet.
Social dynamics is the study of the art of charm in social, business and dating situations. Check the articles below for tactics and strategies you can start using immediately to become more persuasive.
