We charge $9.99 yearly (Paypal and Crypto accepted) for Biohacker Connect membership for a couple of good reasons...
- A barrier of entry to keep the riff-raff out. With free communities you get what you're paying for; it's like going to a disco with no cover charge and no doorman - you might meet someone really cool or you might be stalked by a total creep you run into randomly.
- While your email will remain invisible, your social media links will be visible exclusively to the other members. In the interests of your privacy and security, your social media links won't be public.
- Everyone will have a bit of sunk cost motivation to make meaningful connections. How many "free" social networks have you joined and then never actually used to meet people?
- It will keep out the spammers and scammers.
Many private communities charge a lot more for membership, but we want Biohacker Connect to be affordable enough that there's an abundance of people.
Your email (which will not appear publicly) - other members can send you an email via Biohacker Connect.
Links to any social media profiles (Facebook, Instagram, etc) you have.

In the summary/description section tell a little about yourself; your interests specific to Biohacking and health, what you do for work or play, and your eagerness to meet like-minded new people.
Yes, by all means! This is actually one of the best ways to cultivate a local biohacker Secret Society.After your Biohacker profile listing is approved you can add a listing for a Biohacker Meetup that you might host regularly in your area.
This biohacking/lifehacking stuff is supposed to be a team sport and it's a lot more fun when you're not doing it alone. There's a bunch of Biohacking forums, Subreddits, and social media groups but good luck making real friends through them. Digital acquaintances are no substitute for flesh and blood humans that you can break bread (or an intermittent fast) with.
Join anyway. If nobody is near you now, just give it some time. Bookmark and check back on the Biohacker Connect map from time to time and reach out to anyone new in your geographic neighborhood.
No problem. When you're traveling, check and see if there's anyone where you're going. It's often worth traveling to make a high-affinity connection. In the Local Community field, you can associate your Biohacker profile listing with multiple city's Biohacker Meetups or country's Biohacker communities.

- In the address field in the location section of your profile enter your city, state, or country NOT your home address.
- When you connect with a new person chat with them a bit online first just to make sure they're someone worth meeting.
- Social media vetting is a good idea when you're meeting someone new off the internet. You can take a quick gander at their activity to make sure they aren't a total weirdo.
- Meet new people in public places (with a friend or two if possible).
- You can use your real name or a pseudonym on your profile.
- You can use your real photo on your profile or an avatar - which might be best, especially if you're an attractive woman (as most biohackers of the fairer sex are!)
Biohackers are overwhelmingly very decent, upstanding people so practicing a little common sense, Biohacker Connect will safely enable you to make some local high-affinity connections.
