Biohacker Review: A Very Smooth Nootropic with a Rare Offer

HCF stands for Happy, Calm, Focused and that's exactly what it is.

HCF contains a number of very high-quality Nootropic ingredients. A wide range of the B Vitamins your brain craves along with several important amino acids that are important to feed your brain to maintain cognitive abilities as your brain ages.

While on HCF I feel sharper, I notice myself managing stress somewhat better. I wish I could throw a 5-star review behind HCF, however, it just doesn't make me feel very Limitless... The ideal sensation I look for from my nootropics is a combination of:
1. Productivity buzz, an almost 'wired up' feeling of body energy, especially in the mornings when I am waking up.
2. Really high levels of focus (not getting distracted with minor things throughout the day).
3. Increased confidence in social and business situations.
4. I'm noticeably more articulate while dosed (better mastery of my words).

I just didn't get this from HCF consistently. I even noticed a few times while dosed on HCF I'd sink into that low-energy afternoon lull that life hackers like myself so loathe. HCF contains no caffeine or other ingredients that people take to get a buzz. I think the philosophy behind the HCF is more sustainable brain health than immediate productive buzz. Since I'm a productivity buzz junkie, I would recommend taking 4 capsules daily as opposed to 2. You may even want to take HCF with something that does give you a buzz, like coffee or piracetam.

Given my experience, I wouldn't pay the $60 retail monthly price for this supplement. However, they have a 20-day free trial to test drive the product which I would RECOMMEND the readers of this blog take advantage of. Everyone's constitution reacts a little differently to different supplements but anytime you can try something for free or even at a discounted rate, go for it! It's a deal where you signup for the free trial, they send you out the product to try for 20 days and if you like it they put you on a $40/monthly VIP auto-ship plan. After trying the product for even 10 days you will know for sure whether or not it's worth $40/monthly to you. $40/monthly is a very reasonable investment to make if a nootropic supplement does work for you.

Free trial offers are pretty rare in the Nootropics industry, in fact, this is the only one I'm aware of, so it speaks to a very high level of confidence that HCF has in their product. Which is a very good sign!

All other things being equal, I'd buy supplements from HCF over other Nootropics companies in the industry. If you visit the HCF website they are very transparent about the management of the company and the process behind the product. As I've said in other places on this blog I really like companies that stake their reputation on the quality of their product. HCF is made in the USA, which is great if you like to support companies that create American jobs.

HCF also has a really solid affiliate plan (which I am a member of obviously). I always face the capitalist blogger's dilemma when I come across a product that I'm not 100% impressed with but has a really great affiliate plan. As long as they continue to offer a trial of their product I will continue to recommend people take advantage of it. If you go through the links above it will get you started with the 20 day trial along with supporting the podcast and research on Nootropics we do here at Limitless Mindset. Thanks!

Biohacker Review: I IGNITE my afternoons with this stack...

My first time trying Ignition, I woke up too early and, underslept, became sluggish around noon - hits of Nicotine weren't enough to keep me in the focus zone - so I dropped two Ignition capsules. This pepped me right up and I had a productive day doing web development stuff and blasting through emails, which is just what I'd expect from a caffeinated Nootropic stack.

Stacking Ignition and its "big brother" Max Focus helped me cycle off Nicotine - I don't smoke or vape but I intermittently use Nicotine in VG/PG USP solution as a creativity-promoting smart drug. The first few days off Nicotine are usually a bit rough on me, I need some stimulation and mood support which the Nootropics delivered.

I stay NeuroActive with 3 capsules of Max Focus in the morning and 3 of Ignition in the mid-afternoon. The stimulating and cognitive enhancement effects are potent and there's a notable uptick in my verbal abilities, I recorded this 120-minute, deep-dive, book review podcast on the stack. I take the Max Focus in the mornings and the Ignition in the early afternoons because I prefer to get my AM caffeination from my beautiful cup of steaming, Bulletproof-style, MCT-infused coffee. After lunch, I like to get a stimulant in my system to power through the rest of the day, when I'm cycled off Nicotine a caffeine-rich stack like Ignition is just what I need.

Let's look at a few of the stack's ingredients and discuss their synergies...

  • Caffeine - Three capsules pack a punch with 100 milligrams of Caffeine - that's equivalent to a strong cup of coffee - enough to get you up and running in the morning or power you through the post-lunch doldrums. So if you are stimulant-sensitive take just one or two capsules.
  • Rhodiola - The king of adaptogens - an efficacious dose (200 milligrams) of the high-performance biohacker's herb for wakefulness, alertness, and stress resilience.
  • L-Theanine - Provides the tranquility while Caffeine the stimulation, delivering a sublime state of relaxed arousal. It takes the edge off the caffeine buzz and is a favorite of writers as a subtle creativity smart drug.
  • Panax Ginseng - Another subtle soothing Nootropic that balances out the energizing Nootropics without reducing motivation, an adaptogenic medicinal herb of mythological potency for increasing stamina and a profound sense of well-being.

All the stack's ingredients are validated by a certificate of analysis, which I double-checked myself.

Biohacker Review: Good for verbal intelligence but...

I've been taking using Mind Lab Pro for a few weeks now. I've transitioned off Racetams for a few months, just for experimentation purposes, and have been using Adaptogens daily which doesn't imbue as much energy which Mind Lab Pro makes up for.

It's quite good for verbal intelligence, I've used it a couple of times before I did my Biohacking consultations. I try to batch process my Biohacking consultations, I will do four or five 30-minute calls in an afternoon, and it's important that...

  • I can answer the (sometimes quite complicated) Biohacking questions my clients have for me (that a lot of times they couldn't find the answer to with a Google search).
  • I am a good empathetic listener.
  • I am energetic and positive.

The combination of substances that are in these pills are sufficient for increased mental focus and concentration although when combined with nootropics, which are naturally occurring cognitive stimulants, the effects are multiplied by at least 15 times. I’d recommend starting with piracetam, as this is a less potent no-tropic.

Biohacker Review: A Tasty Nootropic Shot!

Yesterday I was excited to pick up a rather large box full of Peak IQ Shots. The product contains a number of the Adaptogenic herbs that are some of my favorite Nootropics and 80 milligrams of caffeine which is equivalent to a strong cup of coffee.

So the next morning I refrained from drinking coffee, unboxed the package, and skulled two of the yellow bottles. It tastes downright nutritional - an earthy herbal taste with some bittersweet undertones. Its taste certainly won't make you cringe like a lot of powdered Nootropics I've tried.

I didn't need coffee that morning. About 10 minutes later I was feeling very awake, joking with my wife as we went for our morning dog walk together. I was generally focused, energized, and in a good mood that morning.

The next day I mixed it with coconut water which was delicious, maybe next I'll try vodka!

On new year's day, I was feeling a bit hungover from an excess of champagne the night before. I had two Peak IQ bottles, the product contains a lot of ingredients that should help with a hangover, about 30 minutes later I was feeling more like myself and ready to take on 2019!

Ingredients

As I mentioned it contains a few of my favorite Nootropics…

  • Rhodiola  -  My favorite mood-boosting, energizing adaptogen.
  • Schisandra - The flowstate-promoting five-flavor fruit that enhances cognition subtly and is also good for your skin.
  • Eleuthero  -  The anti-fatigue immune booster.
  • ALCAR  -  the classic mitochondria supporting Nootropic.

Immune Booster

I used the Nootropic during the onset of the cold Bulgarian winter while plenty of people around me were sniffling and getting sick. These adaptogens (along with some other immune hacks) fortified my immune system and kept me from getting sick.
There's a couple of very cheap pseudo-Nootropics that a lot of bad Nootropic stacks contain like DMAE or excessive amounts of Huperzine. I was happy to see that the Peak IQ Shot didn't have any of these. It also does not contain any weird, toxic preservatives or artificial coloring chemicals. Other than the Nootropics and vitamins it contains…

Purified water, cherry and raspberry juice from concentrate, stevia extract, natural flavors, caffeine (from coffee beans), citric acid, potassium sorbate, sucralose.

 Certificate of Analysis

One thing I LOVE about this product is that they have publicized their certificate of analysis (COA). This is a 3rd party analysis of the product's ingredients that shows, as you can see below, that it actually contains the advertised ingredients. A huge problem with the supplement industry is that many products ask their customers to just accept on faith that their products contain the ingredients listed on the label.

I'd suggest this as a gift (or stocking stuffer) for someone in your life who you want to get interested in Nootropics. You might have someone in your life who is always drinking a bunch of coffee or 5 Hour Energy to try to stay awake, they might not be willing to start sleep hacking or eating paleo but I bet you could get them to take this stuff which will give them energy, improve their mood and enhance their immunity during the cold winter season. Then you can maybe convince them to try something like meditation, HIIT training, or brain training.

Cost

PeakIQ shotIt's a bit pricey compared with a lot of energy shot products at $4 per bottle or 28 bottles for $105.

But I think it's a whole lot better value than the ubiquitous gas station energy shot 5-HOUR Energy which costs about $2 per bottle. The crucial difference in my view is that PeakIQ shows us in their COA that they use high-quality, pure individual ingredients. The ingredients of any product that you purchase at a gas station are no doubt from the cheapest possible source, probably industrial China. Whenever these sorts of products are tested by food investigators they contain toxins and pollutants.

Also, PeakIQ includes 5 of the best Adaptogenic Nutriceuticals. Adaptogens are some of the most proven and effective Nootropics. When my loved ones ask me what sorts of supplements are safe and will actually help their health and energize their productivity the kinds of Adaptogens in PeakIQ are what I confidently recommend to them. With herbal Nutraceuticals quality really matters you don't want to be putting the cheap stuff in your system. The guys behind 5-HOUR Energy definitely won't be publishing a COA anytime soon because it would show that their product contains shoddy ingredients.

I'll go on a bit of a rant…

A lot of my audience is very interested in hacking intelligence or increasing their IQ so that they can be better entrepreneurs or app developers or whatever. For them, I should clarify that Nootropics and vitamins like this will not as the product name implies actually raise your IQ. The product name, PeakIQ is an example of what should be puffery: this is a legal phrase for an advertising or marketing phrase that "no reasonable person would take seriously." Nootropics will make you more intelligent in a general sense that you will be more focused and motivated along with improving your memory but if you want to raise your IQ you need to do brain training with the Dual N-Back app, or learn another language or go read books like Atlas Shrugged or Antifragile. I would suggest using Nootropics like this or quintessential cognitive enhancers like the Racetams while doing your brain training tasks.

In the biohacking space, you see a lot of products and offerings with IQ appended to the name. IQ is actually not that important, it's a genetic factor that you don't have that much control over, it's like being tall or having a big nose. I think that, socially speaking, morality and self-discipline are more important. IQ is important if you want to be a mathematician or software developer BUT it's not that important to living a happy life. Good habits matter a lot more. If you want to live a good life take Nootropics while also reading books about morality like the two I mentioned.

A scam...

This content in addition to the various forum posts throwing this product under the bus has essentially put 'Profiderall Labs' out of business. Hopefully, this will serve as an example to other scammy product marketers; don't enter the Nootropics industry unless you have a really credible product that you are prepared to personally stand behind.

Qualia (Maybe?) Problematic

Several people have asked me about this slick Nootropic stack product and I also know several people who have tried and loved it. I've personally experimented with over 100 different Nootropics over the past 10 years and I can tell you, even without trying it, that there are a couple of problems with Qualia...
