Doing my damndest to deliver you novelty...
Ⓒ By Jonathan Roseland |
I’ve been an obsessive Biohacking/Lifehacking self-experimenter for 14 years now; trialing over 200 Smart Drugs and Nootropics along with doing a bunch of weird and wacky personal growth things. And I’ve documented it all on my website LimitlessMindset.com (over 1.2 million words written) and in over 600 podcasts and videos.
For over a decade, I have been relentless as a professional Biohacker and “content creator,” but my life has changed in the most significant way recently. I now have something in my life A LOT more important than creating content - I became a father - a beautiful baby boy!
This new chapter of life means I get to spend less time researching, wordsmithing, and torturing my eyes doing video and podcast production. So expect less new content from me, but stuff that I put serious time into (right now, I’m validating a little-known “spiritual technology” and will be publishing my experimentation results in a few weeks—this is going to blow your mind!)
I’ve built a decent audience and pays-for-the-coffee income (although I drink really fancy coffee) on Substack. If you want to support and shape the direction of my work, you can do so on Substack at $7/monthly. Today, I published a post there with some polls that I'd like your feedback on. But I realize that to keep my Substack active, a new post once or twice a month will not cut it. Those of you paying for it expect more, and you deserve it!
So I’ll be republishing my earlier work on Substack and elsewhere…
Since I have a massive archive of edifying Biohacking/Lifehacking content on my website, I’ll pick a few pieces a week to republish. I should clarify, by republish, I do NOT simply mean copy/paste, hit publish…
-
I often expand older articles with new science, my self-experimentation results, or musings I have.
-
I re-read the content and correct anything I was wrong about (yeah, I’ve been wrong about a few things).
-
I add better imagery to articles and improve video thumbnails.
-
I title content better (a little click-baity sometimes - but click-bait is no sin if it gets you to read something you need to read!)
-
I use AI to fix bad audio, upscale grainy video, and sometimes add silly AI songs to the end of content (a few of you have told me you like these - so far, nobody has said that they hate them).
-
I’ve become a real stickler for good grammar - so I do a thorough grammar check whenever I republish anything.
And there’s another reason why I refurbish, revise, and update my older content: my mind is a palace. Limitless Mindset has been the grand project of my life; it dwarfs the effort I put into getting a black belt and even my marriage (I’ve only been married seven years). This content lives not just on the internet but in my own mind. And it’s my duty to maintain that palace.
So I’m a mnemonist; I use memory systems to try to remember the things I’ve learned and written, and I’ve created a SuperMemo flashcard deck that I use to “hack forgetting,” which you can access here. Updating all this content gives me the chance to refresh myself on it and add factoids to the SuperMemo deck.
If you’re my most obsessive superfan, you may occasionally see one of my pieces that you’ve already consumed (sorry about that!) If you just want to be notified of my new stuff (and I’ve got some great new stuff in the production pipeline), join my weekly newsletter here.
Also…
I recently rebranded my podcast from Limitless Mindset to Limitless: Biohacking Brainpower, Health, Personal Growth & Beyond
And I think I may rebrand my Substack simply as Jonathan Roseland. Here’s why…
After nearly a decade and a half, I want to edge away from Limitless Mindset because my work has become about so much more than mindset. I’ll be the “Limitless guy” till my dying day (although I may not die, being a reluctant Transhumanist), but I originally branded Limitless Mindset because I was inspired by the Bradley Cooper movie, and LimitlessMindset.com was the best domain name available. You may see these Substacks coming from Jonathan Roseland instead in the near future.
For the longest time, my show was kind of a solo show. But going forward, I’m going to be doing more interviews. Conversations are almost always more interesting than a host monologuing. Some of these interviews will be in-depth 90-minute deep dives with guests, and others will be minisodes, expect 3-4 interviews each month. And you can find all my expert interviews in this Odysee playlist.
Something else…
Those of you who have followed me for a while may have noted that my new publishing slowed down in the past year…
A very challenging pregnancy had a lot to do with that. But I still wrote 180,000 words that you might not have seen because they went into the two books I’ve written this year: My new SciFi/Cyberpunk novel, Hourglass - about Biohacking, Seduction, Philosophy, and its sequel, that will be released before the holidays, The Trident, The Tachyon & The Temptress. Frankly, this is the best writing I’ve ever done.
I didn’t lose many paid subscribers on Substack while I spent +1100 hours wordcrafting the Hourglass saga, so I give away the digital book and “Odyssey of the Mind” style audiobook to my paid Substack subscribers (you get the download links when you sign up).
But the subtitle of the novel is: Not For Sex Addicts - about seduction, biohacking & philosophy. Yeah, it’s spicy, and I can imagine that some of you might not want spicy in your Substack feed or inbox. Unless you read the novel in full, you may find its spiciness jarring in contrast to the edifying and upright way that I actually live my life (and exhort men to do likewise). Why I wrote a spicy novel…
For millennia, moralists and Western culture have made sexual self-control about as boring and dry a topic as can be imagined. And our culture is in deep decline as a result. The Sexaholics Anonymous White Book doesn’t do a great job of selling sexual sobriety; it’s described as the most arduous Sisyphean uphill battle. Not the freedom, pride, and awesome sex life I’ve enjoyed with my wife after taking back my sexual sovereignty.
Sexual self-control has been such a lifestyle upgrade for me that I thought I’d try a change in tactic: package it under the satin folds of a short dress sitting in a Maserati.
If you’re not a sex addict, here's my promise to you: Hourglass will be the most powerfully pragmatic fiction book you'll ever read. You'll get a lot more than entertainment out of this thriller! Here’s chapter 1…
